This choreography series was sparked by a desire to share insight and hope. In short, abuse has been present in my life. These abuses were firstly by individuals in religious roles in the Catholic Church's Baltimore Archdiocese and secondly by an arts educator. While I had moved past the direct danger these individuals posed, the feelings and memories were not forgotten and dictated my relationships and feelings.

Lillian Vernon, Viktor Frankl, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Edith Eva Eger provided models of confronting abuse which became fundamental in my healing journey. They moved to make sense of the feelings of anger, resentment, and betrayal. I have found solace and healing in the themes and intentions they modeled. I hope that others may also benefit and find a sense of healing.
